AFRODITE
A particular oyster, with intense and golden colours, it takes the flavors and taste from our river delta, the Po river, the best lagoon from shellfish.
Size: 12 pieces per kg.
MIGNON
A unique oyster of its kind, small in size, farmed with consistency and precision to allow the mollusc to develop in the most appropriate way. Despite its size, the oysters reach commercial size in about a year, this is because the continuous exposure to the wave motion and the continuous movement of the breeding baskets causes the oyster to take on a smooth and round shape and a high percentage of meat, well above 30%. After which, only the oysters with top characteristics are identified as “Mignon”.
On the palate it is soft and consistent, with the sweet notes that only the brackish waters of our area can give. Suitable for being in a raw fish plateau, perfect for an aperitif and not invasive in tasting. You can literally say that one leads to another…
The “Mignon” Oyster is farmed in the Goro lagoon and Effelle packages and distributes it in 500 gram wooden boxes.
MAE’ OYSTER OF VENICE
The MAE’ oyster is characterized by its thick and smooth shell with a markedly concave shape, which distinguishes it from most products on the market at first glance;
The fruit inside is abundant because the concavity of the shell allows ample space for the mollusc, for this reason the MAE’ oyster falls into the category that is defined as a “special” oyster, precisely because of the excellent mollusc-shell ratio.
As for the intense flavor that characterizes it, the credit must be attributed to the quality of the microalgae that the oyster feeds on, which is specific to each breeding site, and which gives the mollusc a different personality.
In MAE’ oysters, balance is one of the most appreciated qualities.
The Venice Lagoon is characterized by a high exchange of water that comes from the sea and is little influenced by the fresh water of the rivers, this gives the MAE’ oyster the balanced salt content that is perceived when tasting it. The MAE’ oyster measures 18/20 pieces per kg, which makes it perfect for any situation, from an aperitif to a meal of crudités.
GOLDEN OYSTER
The only 100% made in Italy oyster, together with its sister Black. These in fact come from an Italian seed from our area.
An absolutely unique color, a dazzling gold so intense that it is almost a shame to open it… but you have to do it because the best is inside.
The Golden oyster is memorable for its softness, given by the brackish waters of the Sacca di Goro. Very high percentage of meat, making it the undisputed queen of our assortment.
Effelle offers it in sizes of about 25 pieces per kg, in wooden boxes of 1 or 3 kg.
BLACK OYSTER
The Black oyster looks very different from the Golden, yet they come from the same family. Its equally particular color that definitely leans towards black is just one of the distinctive features of this wonderful oyster: on the palate it is much crispier and more decisive than its “sister” Golden, and this is a fact given by the high presence of Omega 6 inside it. The strong contrast between the dark external shell and the very white internal pearl shell gives it an identity that is difficult to confuse.
